Sarah Marshall is the Wall Street Journal’s social media editor for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Before joining the WSJ in December 2013 she was technology editor at Journalism.co.uk. She reported on innovations in the digital news industry and co-organised the news:rewired conference.

Sarah is co-organiser of Hacks/Hackers London. Hacks/Hackers is a global movement of journalists and technologists who get together with the aim of “rethinking the future of news and information”.

Sarah has also worked as print journalist and as a radio reporter, newsreader and producer.
She speaks Spanish (having lived in Mexico) and Arabic (which she continues to study at SOAS).
She has a BSc degree in Anthropology from University College London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from City University, London.

Sally is a seasoned digital marketing professional with more than 10 years strategic media experience. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her role at Viber having previously held the position of Head of Branded Content at Huffington Post UK and Group Head, Brand Partnerships at the Guardian.

Sally is responsible for defining Viber’s partnership strategy and recruiting the right partners for the brand, with a view to establishing long-term mutually beneficial relationships that translate into valuable content for consumers. Since the launch of Viber ‘Public Chats’ last November, Sally has helped hundreds of partners to create their own unique channel on Viber, creating new communities through exclusive Public Chat content.
